What You'll Do
As a Medication Aide, you will administer medications under the guidance of our nursing supervisors and attending physicians while ensuring the highest standards of safety and accuracy.
* Medication Pass: Accurately prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications as prescribed.
* Resident Safety: Verify resident identities, observe medication ingestion, track vital signs, and promptly report any changes or reactions to the Charge Nurse.
* Quality Assurance: Assist with proper labeling, charting, drug receipt error reporting, and safe medication disposal according to state and facility guidelines.
* Collaborative Care: Maintain positive working relationships with physicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff to keep resident care running smoothly.
* Warm & Resident-Centered: Provide compassionate daily care and support to our residents.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
What We're Looking For
* Certification: Must be a licensed/certified Medication Aide in Ohio who has successfully completed a state-approved training program and listed on the Ohio STNA registry.
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
* Skills: Strong communication, basic math skills (ratios, percentages), and solid problem-solving abilities.
* Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs; comfort using electronic charting/computer systems.
