Job responsibilities


* Writes advanced level code in Java to build cutting edge high through put low latency engineering solutions


* Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors


* Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others


* Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes


* Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle


* Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies


* Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience


* Hands-on practical experience building low latency, high throughput server side python based software solutions.Advanced in Java and related programming languages


* Experience with developing highly scalable, secure, and resilient applications utilizing Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate, Kubernetes, Docker, Swagger, and Skaffold


* Excellent understanding of security standards, such as OAuth, TLS, JWT, Kerberos etc.


* Good understanding of Domain Driven Design, microservices patterns, and modern/emerging architectures


* Agile software development experience is a must


* Proficiency with AIML Model development Familiarity with log/metric collection and monitoring technologies, such as ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, & Splunk is a plus


* Proficiency with Python programming language


* Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines


* Experience with modern microservices architecture

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Experience with even driven processing utilizing Kafka is a plus


* Experience with Cassandra or equivalent no-SQL databases
