Automation Maintenance Technician
What You'll Do
You will support and oversee production operations within an automated warehouse by monitoring warehouse processes for accuracy and efficiency and ensuring optimal product flow to meet operational throughput.
You will address system downtime by implementing improvement plans and participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex control system issues.
Occasional travel may be required.
Essential Functions
* Provide general production support for automated warehouse operations.
* Virtually monitor warehouse processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time completion.
* Ensure optimal product flow to meet operational throughput requirements.
* Monitor system downtime and implement improvement plans to reduce downtime.
* Maximize use of system capacity by identifying and mitigating systematic bottlenecks.
* Participate in troubleshooting events and conduct root cause analysis for control system-related issues.
* Collaborate with the control team to develop best practices for increased productivity in automated warehouse operations.
* Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
What Experience and Education You Need
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an automated warehouse facility required.
* Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and experience with WMS software features required.
* Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and process issues.
* Experience with PLC programming and conveyor control systems required.

* Experience developing best practices for productivity in automated warehouse operations.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
* Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.
* Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment.
* Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others, verbally and/or in writing.
* May require travel by automobile and airplane for business.
* May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.
* May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
