* Procure drum of tubes following FIFO process, position on A-frame, feed tube into machine,  


* Operate braiding equipment applying yarn re-enforcement over rubber friction (specification dependent) layer over the tube according to hose specification, 


* Inspect braid visually, perform required quality checks using calipers and wrap gauge and record on appropriate forms, 


* Adjust braider settings as needed to maintain quality of braided product,  


* Perform braider changeover as required assuring braided product is manufactured to specification,  


* Mark defects with tape to identify defective portion of braided product to assure removal of defective braided product in downstream operations, 


* Collect spent yarn, cobs, and empty into appropriate containers, 


* Print braided product travel tags, 


* Stage drums of braided product in designated staging areas at cover operations, 


* Perform end of shift duties, report defective product in required reporting systems,  


* Maintains cleanliness of work area, 

 


* Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent


* Experience: Previous manufacturing experience is strongly preferred but not required. 


* Ability to work 1^st (7am-3pm), 2nd (3pm-11pm), or 3rd (11pm-7am) shift is determined based on seniority per union contract.
