Civil Engineer - Entry-level Traffic Design

For more information, visit: www.gpinet.com Responsibilities: Assist with traffic impact studies, traffic operations analyses, and transportation planning projects.Collect, review, and analyze traffic data, including traffic counts, speed studies, and crash data.Support the design and evaluation of traffic signals, signing, pavement markings, and roadway safety improvements.Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and project documentation.Assist with traffic modeling and simulation using industry-standard software.Participate in field investigations and site visits to evaluate existing traffic conditions.Support roadway, intersection, and multimodal improvement projects.Coordinate with engineers, planners, clients, municipalities, and transportation agencies.Assist with permit applications and regulatory submissions.Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable standards and guidelines.Support construction-phase activities, including responding to field questions and reviewing traffic control plans.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited university.Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain certification within one year preferred.Internship or co-op experience in transportation or traffic engineering is a plus.Basic understanding of traffic engineering and transportation planning principles.Familiarity with AutoCAD, Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, or similar software is a plus.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Willingness to perform oc...
