Cost Containment Pharmacist

This job description outlines the primary responsibilities through which employees embody our CARE values and contribute to the company's mission of outstanding service Responsibilities: Analyze high-cost medication orders and identify opportunities for cost savings through therapeutic interchange while ensuring patient safety Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to assess appropriate drug selection, dosage, administration, potential drug interactions, and opportunities for cost-effective therapy.
Recommend appropriate therapy changes and therapeutic interchange options to physicians and facility staff.
Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration Communicate effectively via, phone, and email.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to run hourly reports.
Complete any other task assigned by the Cost Containment supervisor.
Qualifications: Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida State license are plus PA, AL,OH, GA,NY Long Term Care or Hospital experience preferred Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skill Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus Microsoft Excel knowledge skills Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
