POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrician is responsible for leading, planning, and executing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and capital improvement activities to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
This role serves as the technical expert for electrical systems, providing guidance to maintenance personnel, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
The Master Electrician develops team capability through training and mentorship while supporting BAC's values of Courage, Innovation, Responsibility, and Trust.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical maintenance activities, equipment rebuilds, installations, and capital projects.
* Analyze equipment failures and operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
* Design, install, document, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
* Install and wire 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems, including motors, motor controls, transformers, PLCs, switches, sensors, and transmitters.
* Accurately complete departmental paperwork, reports, and required system transactions.
* Assist with sustaining Lean Manufacturing principles within assigned work areas.
* Executes against standard processes and Key Performance Indicators (KPls) as defined in the global operating standard established in BAC Excellence (BAC-X) including Global Assembly Standardization (GAS) expectations.
* Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area and comply with all safety regulations.
* Adapt to changing job schedules and shifting production priorities.
* Demonstrate consistent performance in productivity, safety, and work habits.
* Understand upstream and downstream customer impacts and contribute to quality and on time delivery.
* Perform other duties as requested or assigned by leadership.
* Ability to recognize when the machinery is not running well, trouble shoot and identify issues, adjust as needed.
* Use appropriate methods and interpersonal skills to develop and motivate employees.
* Ability to work any shift as required to support business needs.
* Ability to remain flexible, self‑motivated, and responsive in a fast‑paced environment.
* NFPA 70E Arc Flash Certification preferred.
If not certified at hire, employee must obtain certification and demonstrate competency within 90 days of the date of hire.
