Senior Power Systems Architect - F/H

Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Power Systems Architect within the Global Competency Center for Electrical Systems.

As a global leader in energy management and automation, Schneider Electric is driving the transformation of electrical distribution systems to address the challenges of electrification, decarbonization, digitalization, renewable integration, and the emergence of DC architectures.

We are seeking a highly experienced power systems expert to lead innovation and advanced engineering activities related to future electrical distribution systems for Data Centers, Buildings, EV infrastructure, Microgrids, and Distributed Energy Resources (DER).

The successful candidate will work at the forefront of next-generation power systems, developing and evaluating innovative architectures that combine AC and DC distribution, renewable generation, energy storage, power electronic converters, advanced protection schemes, and digital management systems.

Your role

You will lead technical studies and innovation workstreams focused on advanced electrical distribution systems and future energy architectures.

Working closely with experts across Schneider Electric's business units, R&D teams, and technology organizations, you will drive the development of methodologies, simulation models, and technical recommendations supporting strategic technology decisions.

Your responsibilities



* Defining and evaluating future AC/DC electrical distribution architectures.


* Performing modeling and simulation studies of multi-source electrical systems integrating:



* Renewable Energy Sources (PV, Wind)


* Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)


* Data Center electrical infrastructures


* EV charging ecosystems


* Hybrid AC/DC Microgrids

Developing and maintaining advanced power system models used for architecture comparison and system optimization.

Leading studies related to power system performance, resilience, reliability, protection, and operational efficiency.

Supporting innovation initiatives in electrical distribution, protection, energy management, and converter-based systems.

Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to establish technical roadmaps and future product strategies.Technical Expertise & Qualifications
We are looking for a senior expert in power systems with strong experience in one or more of the following areas:


* Electrical distribution systems, including AC/DC architectures, power electronics, critical power infrastructure, and data center applications.


* Protection and control of electrical networks, including fault analysis, protection coordination, short-circuit studies, and system reliability.


* Advanced power systems such as microgrids, smart grids, distributed energy resources (DER), renewable energy integration, and future grid architectures.
