Position: Terminal Operator

Reports to: Terminal Manager

Shift: 4am-12pm or 8:30am-4:30pm

Pay: $21/hour+

What you'll be contributing:

The Terminal Operator safely unloads cement from rail cars, moves railcars using a track mobile/shuttle wagon, performs minor plant/equipment maintenance/lubrication, and maintains the facility and grounds.

The position must be able to work other than the day shift and twelve (12) hours or more in a shift.



* Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.


* Unloads rail cars and performs railcar movements (empty and full) on the property to maximize the efficiency of the unloading process and minimize the risk of demurrage.


* Maintains mobile equipment correctly, including tire inflation, brakes, water, and oil pressure checks.


* Lubricates various mobile equipment and terminal machinery.


* Operates a skid steer/bobcat, utility vehicle, and track mobile/shuttle wagon.


* Performs preventative maintenance checks and services.


* Performs housekeeping of terminal, equipment, and overall workplace


* Inspects visually equipment and machinery to ensure proper operation or identify any needed repairs


* Provides backup for lead position and cross-trains to learn these duties.


* Cross-trains to load and ticket trucks.


* Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

To succeed in this position, you will need:



* High school graduation or equivalent is required


* Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.


* Willingness to learn, training will be provided


* Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy
