Job Summary

The Mold Setter is responsible for the installation, removal, and upkeep of the molds and mold components used in the manufacturing process of plastic parts.

Job Responsibilities



* Inspect molds and components for damage


* Report damage to the Production Manager; repair minor damage and replace parts, as needed


* Use overhead crane, tow motor, and various power tools to remove molds and components from machine


* Clean molds and components and transport them to and from mold storage area


* Install and replace hydraulic and water lines of each press as needed


* Follow all safety rules


* Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed


* Installation of any ancillary equipment related to mold set

Job Requirements



* Minimum high school diploma or equivalent


* Basic understanding of hydraulics and limit switches


* Experience using basic hand and power tools


* Injection molding experience a plus


* Mold setting experience a plus


* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
