The Pines at Placerville is looking for a Part-Time Activity Assistant to join our Activities team!

As an Activity Assistant, you'll help create meaningful and engaging experiences for our residents through games, crafts, music, social events, outings, one-on-one activities, and more.

What You'll Do


* Assist the Activities Director in planning and leading engaging individual, small-group, and large-group activities.


* Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests, abilities, and preferences.


* Help provide meaningful one-on-one activities for residents who may be unable to participate in group activities.


* Assist with resident outings, special events, entertainment, and community activities.


* Help develop and maintain the monthly activity calendar.


* Build positive relationships with residents and their families while creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment.


* Encourage residents to continue enjoying their favorite hobbies, crafts, reading, music, games, and other interests.


* Assist with activity documentation, attendance records, assessments, and care plans as assigned.


* Assist with arranging transportation for resident outings and appointments when needed.


* Keep the Activities Department clean, organized, and ready for residents to enjoy.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience working in a skilled nursing, assisted living, senior living, healthcare, recreation, or activities setting is preferred, but we are happy to consider candidates who have the right attitude, personality, and desire to make a difference.

Physical Requirements

This position involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, and interacting with residents.

The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with various physical activities may be required.
