In-Process Quality Inspector

We machine close-tolerance work where the inspection is not a formality at the end of the job - it is how we know the process is still in control.

Position Summary: This is a floor role, not a desk role! The In-Process Quality Inspector moves through the shop every day, pulling and inspecting partrs from each machine, catching drift before it becomes scrap.

You will work from prints and inspection plans using hand gauges and mechanical inspection technique, and you will run our CMM to verify features that hand tools can't reach.

The second half of the job is what makes it different from a standard inspection seat: we want our machine operators inspecting their own work with confidence.

You will sit down with them at the machine, show them how to check the features that matter on their parts, and build their judgment about when a dimension is drifting.

The person who does this well makes the who floor better, not just the parts they personally touch.

You do not need to program CMM's for this role.

You need to run existing programs well and know when the result is telling you something real.
