Reporting to the CFO, you will help identify attractive businesses, evaluate strategic and financial opportunities, and manage transactions from initial outreach through diligence, closing, and integration planning.
You'll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional partners across Finance, Legal, Operations, People, and our portfolio companies.
This is an opportunity for someone who loves both strategy and execution and who leads with relationships.
The strongest candidate is a genuine listener who can earn the trust of founders and small business owners, understand what makes a company (and the person who built it) special, and help bring the right opportunities into the Collectivus family.
Relationship-building is not a byproduct of this role; it is central to it.
What You'll Do M&A Strategy and Deal Sourcing Support the development and execution of Collectivus' acquisition strategy.Research markets, industry trends, and potential acquisition targets.Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective opportunities.Develop and nurture long-term relationships with founders, business owners, intermediaries, investment bankers, and other industry partners often well before a business is ever for sale.Build trust and rapport with founders and small business owners by listening carefully to their goals, their concerns, and what they've built.Evaluate how potential acquisitions align with our portfolio, capabilities, and long-term growth priorities.
Financial Analysis and Valuation Build financial models to assess valuation, returns, synergies, risks, and deal structure.Analyze historical performance, forecasts, working capital, cash flow, and key operating drivers.Prepare investment cases, executive summaries, and recommendations for senior leadership.Support the preparation of letters of intent, term sheets, and transaction-related materials.Coordinate with internal and external advisors on financial, tax, legal, and commercial considerations.
Due Diligence and Deal Execution Lead or coordinate cross-functional due diligence from initial evaluation through closing.Manage diligence requests, data rooms, workstreams, timelines, and key deliverables.Identify material risks, opportunities, ...
