Streets Maintenance Tech I

Join our team! The City of Kentwood is seeking applicants for a Streets Maintenance Technician I in the Department of Public Works.

Pay and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $23.07-$29.48 with a consistent 40-hour (or more) work week.

Position Summary Reporting directly to the Streets and Grounds Supervisor, main responsibilities for this role include performing maintenance duties related to the care and maintenance of the City facilities, equipment, buildings, parks, grounds, cemetery, streets, drains, water and wastewater infrastructure.

Our ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and one year of maintenance experience that includes experience in operation of construction vehicles and equipment.

About the Department of Public Works The Department of Public Works keeps the City of Kentwood beautiful and functional with a team of nearly 40 full- and part-time employees.

The department has five divisions that work together to maintain the City's infrastructure, which includes more than 150 miles of pipes underground and more than 155 miles of streets above ground, as well as the City parks and grounds, buildings and fleet of vehicles.
