Employee Engagement & Recognition Internship

This position will provide support to the Engagement and Recognition team by working on a variety of projects related to engagement, recognition and wellness.The duration of the internship is scheduled to occur from approximately January 2027 through May 2027, or during a timeframe mutually agreed upon between Fareway Stores, Inc.

and the intern.

RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assist with planning, organizing and executing various company events.• Support retail recognition programs by exploring opportunities for improvement, communicating with stores, and tracking effectiveness• Conduct research and make recommendations for improvements based on current trends• Assist in the creation and planning of newsletters, flyers and other communications• Improve administrative processes, manage engagement and recognition request forms, monitoring submissions, and ensuring timely follow-up and execution• Support the Employee Engagement Team by facilitating meetings, gathering feedback and encouraging participation• Other duties as assigned SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:• Current college or university student, or recent graduate• Self-starter, exhibits initiative• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms• Proficiency in a graphic design platform such as Canva or Adobe Illustrator• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently on assigned projects QUALIFICATIONS:• Applicants should be working towards a degree in Management, Human Resources, or related field preferred.• Strong organizational skills• Strong attention to detail• Strong communication skills• Ability to prioritize work effectively• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data ADDITIONAL DETAILS:• Up to 40 hours per week• Flexible schedule during normal office hours of 8-5pm.

LOCATION:• This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Johnston, Iowa.
