RN Clinical Manager - Operating Room

The OR Clinical Manger is responsible for expediting the surgery schedule utilizing staff appropriately, for a specific shift, facilitating the day-to-day shift operations in the Surgery Department.

He/she manages human resources at the unit level in a cost-effective manner.

The OR Clinical Manager promptly and fully investigates and resolves complaints of patients, visitors, staff, and physicians, advising management / administration appropriately.

The OR Clinical Manager collaborates and works with facilities and Biomed to resolve issues related to the physical environment and equipment that may present a patient safety issue or a regulatory deficiency by entering appropriate work orders and communicating with facilities and Biomed staff in a timely manner.

The OR Clinical Manager demonstrates the ability to respond and provide direction in changing workload during crisis and emergencies in a calm manner.

The OR Clinical Manager communicates effectively with staff assisting with understanding of difficult administrative decisions.

Required:

Clinical Manager RN experience required.

Current OR experience required

Current California RN License

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintain current at all times)

Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience

Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to present self in positive and professional manner

Preferred:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

ACLS

CNOR

Previous management experience

TNCC or TCAR
