Pastry Cook

The award winning Grandover Resort & Spa - A Wyndham Grand Hotel is currently hiring experienced Pastry Cook for our Banquet.

We are currently seeking hard-working and experienced individuals to join our team as a cook.

Weekends and Holidays are Required Job Responsibilities Develops, designs, or creates new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.Recognizes superior quality products, presentations and flavor.Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards.Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.Supports procedures for food & beverage portion and waste controls.Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products.Ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures.Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Prepares and cooks food of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.Speak with others using clear and professional language.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
