Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care given to inpatients and outpatients to patients of all age populations at Piedmont Medical Center requiring respiratory therapy services.


* Performs all aspects of respiratory care to include diagnostic test of the cardio-pulmonary system


* performs quality control on all respiratory care equipment to include I-STAT blood gas analyzers


* Provides respiratory care to patients.


* Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.


* Other related duties as assigned.

Required:


* Education:
+ Graduate of Accredited and Approved Respiratory Care Technician or Therapist program
+ Associate degree required.


* Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
+ Current Respiratory Therapy Licensure through South Carolina Medical Examiner's office.
+ CRTT required (Verified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
+ American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
+ American Heart Association PALS and ACLS certifications required within orientation period.
+ NRP certification required for NICU trained therapists

Preferred:


* Experience: 2 to 5 years of job-related experience preferred.


* Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: RRT preferred (Verified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
