Community Health Supervisor
Responsible for supervision of multiple chronic disease prevention/community health programs across multiple counties; supervises and reviews staff providing public health services to various publics and communities.
Applies critical thinking and decision-making skills to resolve complex issues.
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates program outcomes.
Essential Duties Supervises assigned employees, and monitors work to ensure standards for accuracy, timeliness, productivity and compliance are accomplished.
Initiates corrective actions as necessary to ensure team and individual results and performance meet expectations.Assists and directs staff with caseload management, productivity and management of individual services.
Provides advice and guidance in resolving complex questions or issues.Recommends recruiting, hiring, evaluating, scheduling, and disciplining assigned employees in accordance with established policies.
Consults with Director on issues related to discipline and/or unsatisfactory performance.Establishes and/or enforces work schedules and approves time off for assigned employees ensuring adequate coverage and uninterrupted service.
Reviews and approves time sheets.Participates in planning, developing, monitoring and evaluating division programs, policies, and budgets.
Provides regular reports to Director and administration on results achieved and progress on assigned projects.Serves as a liaison with local, state and/or federal agencies to effectively implement program requirements.
May represent agency at community, county, regional or state meetings.Ensures effective documentation of program services and results; collects, analyzes and evaluates data to determine changes in service delivery.Coordinates and participates in quality improvement activities for areas of responsibility, and ensures established national and state accreditation standards and measures are met.Oversees scheduling of students and/or interns, and facilitates orientation.Provides direct service as needed.
Other Duties & Responsibilities Performs all other duties as assigned or in response to emergencies, workload or staffing shortages.Participates in efforts to develop and promote program and agency services in conjunction with marketing team.Maintains up-to-date vaccines including flu (influenza,) in accordance with CDC guidelines: Recommended Vaccines for Healthcare Workers.
