Position Overview
Safely and efficiently operate and maintain mobile equipment (front-end loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, graders, etc.) and plant equipment (conveyors, pumps, screens and crushers), floating to different areas in the plant to fill vacancies as needed.

Core Responsibilities


* Adhere to all MSHA and Company safety rules/regulations.


* Inspect work area and fill out Work Area Inspection forms daily and Production Report.


* Perform assigned tasks safely and proficiently.


* Maintain equipment properly (fuel, grease, clean, etc.

as required)


* Push stone to the tunnel feeders safely and efficiently, as deemed necessary by management.


* Efficiently load all haul trucks and customer trucks with various products as needed.


* May be called upon at discretion of the Foreman to grade roads and also prepare blast areas in addition to performing any other duties assigned that may include operation of loader, excavator, dozer, grader, secondary breaker or other auxiliary equipment and/or to assist other departments if necessary.


* Perform maintenance mechanic duties in all plant areas as instructed by management


* Perform housekeeping duties in all plant areas as instructed by management.


* May be called upon at discretion of the foreman to perform any other duties assigned and/or to assist other departments if necessary.



* Must be able to work the scheduled hours of the area of the plant when "floating" to

cover a vacancy.


* Wear a hardhat, safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, gloves, hearing protection and respirator as needed.


* Learn and implement MSHA standards and regulations to ensure a safe operating environment is maintained at all times.


* Regular and timely attendance is required.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Required Experience/Education/Skills


* High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or 3+ years of practical work experience.



* Mechanical skills/aptitude required.



* Ability to carry out oral and written instructions in a safe manner.
