Titanium Electrode Welder
Primary Purpose:
Electrode Welder will be responsible for MIG welding Titanium electrodes in support of the Metals Manufacturing furnace operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Willing to work in non-temperature-controlled conditions
* Fabrication of electrodes meeting all standard requirements
* Able to follow written direction for fabrication formulations on the heat sheet
* Overhead crane use
* Assist with production needs in the Metal Making department
* Use basic computer functions for recording data
* Meet established production rates consistent with quality expectations.
* Use of Gas and Plasma torch to cut titanium
* Operate bandsaw for cutting titanium
* Use of hand and power tools
* Operators will be trained for forklift, and XRF handheld analyzer
* Adhere to all department and company procedures and policies.
* Support safe working environment and high-quality standards by maintaining a clean working environment including housekeeping and 5S
* Participate in safety improvement through observations and teamwork improvement events.
* Be accountable for working safely by following all safety rules and safe work practices.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
* The position requires a very strategic thinking mindset, working with random size, and shape material.
* Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
* Must be able to use and understand basic computer functions.
* Able to perform basic arithmetic.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and or in team environment.
* Production operation experience preferred.
* HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
* Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
* Must take a base line hearing test prior to starting.
Working Conditions:
