Sr. Specialist - Immigration (Remote)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on U.S.
immigration laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; provide authoritative guidance and regulatory interpretation to program teams, leadership, managers, and employees.
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret changes in immigration legislation, executive actions, agency guidance, and regulatory requirements; assess impacts and develop compliance strategies and recommendations.
- Lead immigration compliance activities, including audits, public file management, risk assessments, and identification of policy or process gaps; recommend and implement corrective actions to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve immigration-related processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, knowledge articles, and operational resources to enhance service delivery and consistency.
- Track immigration program activity, case trends, service delivery metrics, and compliance outcomes; prepare reports, dashboards, and quarterly performance updates for leadership and stakeholders.
- Present quarterly metrics in the areas of: case load, types of support provided, delivery of services, documentation, and compliance requirements.
-The SME provides strategic guidance, operational support, regulatory interpretation, and risk mitigation related to immigration programs and services.
- Works closely with program teams within the agency to ensure compliance with applicable immigration regulations and to support initiatives.
- Provide recommendations and best practices to maintain compliance with immigration requirements.
- Build durable and sustainable processes and produce reliable results.
- Assist team with tracking and managing project statuses and work on projects as assigned.
- Educate and advise on immigration requirements, processes, and matters.
- Facilitate meetings, briefings, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders, in coordination with Program Manager.
- Create educational materials, job aids, and reference documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in immigration services, government immigration programs, advising on immigration matters or serving as an immigration SME.
- Demonstrated expertise in U.S.
immigration laws and regulations.
- Experience supporting federal government agencies.

U.S.
Citizenship is required, per contract requirements.
