IT Principal - Product Management
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Improve upon existing product processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to inform product decisions.
- Work with cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery, supporting bids and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Develop business cases and prioritize initiatives based on ROI, customer impact, and strategic alignment.
- Provide guidance, coaching and training to junior level employees within technical area of expertise.
Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define, communicate, and drive the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for products, platforms, and solution portfolio.
- Develop forward-looking product strategies that evolve existing products into scalable, reusable solutions capable of supporting multiple customer segments, programs, and business opportunities.
- Partner with business and operational leaders to understand strategic objectives, customer needs, market dynamics, and emerging industry trends.
- Identify gaps between current product capabilities and future business needs and develop strategies to close those gaps.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, competitive landscapes, regulatory requirements, and technology advancements to inform product strategy and roadmap decisions.
- Establish clear product outcomes, success metrics, KPIs, and strategic priorities that align with organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, transformation, and modernization that create competitive advantage and business value.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10-12 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Product Management, Program Management, Technology Leadership, or a related discipline.
