TEMP Maintenance Technician (PBNI)

Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the comprehensive operation, inspection, and maintenance of interior and exterior building systems across multiple Tribal Government and Clinical facilities, as well as associated grounds.
This includes critical patient care and support areas such as lobbies, waiting areas, restrooms, medical examination rooms, dental operatories, and administrative offices.
All work is performed in alignment with standards, ensuring compliance with life safety, infection control, and environmental safety requirements.
This position functions as a key liaison within the maintenance department, supporting and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities for facility infrastructure and clinical equipment.
Responsibilities include maintaining building systems such as plumbing, HVAC, and electrical in accordance with applicable codes and healthcare regulations (e.g., OSHA, CDC guidelines, and infection prevention standards), as well as assisting with the upkeep of specialized medical and dental equipment.
The Maintenance Technician also supports hazard surveillance, documentation, and corrective action processes.
The role assists in planning, coordinating, and executing partial or full facility shutdowns, utility interruptions, and emergency response procedures, ensuring continuity of care, safety, and minimal disruption to government and clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance Assist in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance of plumbing systems, including piping, valves, fixtures, and associated components.Supporting the installation, calibration, inspection, and ongoing maintenance of facility and clinical operational equipment, including medical and dental devices, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.Perform surface preparation and finishing tasks, including drywall repair, patching, taping, texturing, priming, and painting of interior and exterior substrates using appropriate tools, materials, and techniques.Assist in the preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems, including air handling units and split systems; tasks include filter replacement, belt adjustments, condenser and evaporator coil cleaning, and inspection/testing of electrical components such as capacitors, contactors, and fuses.Inspect, clean, and maintain roof drainage systems, including gutters, downspouts, and area drains, to ensure proper water flow and prevent structural damage or water intrusion.Safely lift, tran...
