Finish Herdsmen - Bradford, TN

The Finishing Herdsman is responsible for providing daily care for the swine herd throughout the finishing production cycle under the direction of the Department Manager and Farm Manager.

This position supports the health, welfare, and productivity of the herd while maintaining company biosecurity, animal welfare, sanitation, and safety standards.

ScheduleMonday through Friday, with every other weekend as required.

Typical hours are 7:00 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m., subject to change based on operational needs and job duties.

Essential Job Functions The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to: Provide daily care for the swine herd in accordance with company animal welfare standards.

Move and handle animals using safe and humane animal handling practices.

Load and unload pigs as scheduled.

Monitor animal health and report concerns promptly to management.

Promote herd wellness through proactive observation and care.

Maintain clean and sanitary work areas.

Follow all biosecurity protocols, including required shower-in/shower-out procedures and clothing changes.

Work collaboratively with team members while also performing assigned tasks independently.

Work rotating weekends and holidays as required by operational needs.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures and promote a strong safety culture.

Perform other duties as assigned.
