We are currently searching for a CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant to work in the Health Center. In this role, the CNA is responsible to provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by supervisor.
Preserves residents’ dignity, honors resident’s rights, provides good customer service, communicates appropriately, and adheres to federal and state compliance regulations. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.
Schedule: Full Time position | Weekdays and Weekends availability | 1st shift-7am to 3pm
Essential position functions:
1.
Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
2.
Ensure that beds are made; trash has been removed, and a high level of hygiene is maintained in the room.
3.
Ensure that meals are served on time and assist residents with meals and feeding, if necessary.
4.
Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
5.
Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with Federal, State and facility requirements.
Qualifications
1.
Must be currently licensed in the state of Florida as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
2.
Must be CPR Certified.
Experience:
1.
One year of long term care desirable.
Home Health, Emergency Room experience helpful.
Also experience working with developmentally disabled adults.
Required Skills:
1.
Ability to provide direct patient care while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect.
2.
Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
3.
Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
4.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5.
Ability to transfer, lift, reposition, and assist residents safely using proper body mechanics and equipment.
