Brine Truck Driver

Job Summary Reporting to the Area Supervisor and Snow Operations Manger, the Brine Truck Driver will be responsible to safely, efficiently, and effectively operate the brine truck to apply the ice melt brine mixture as required for commercial and industrial properties.

This position requires the successful applicant to work on an on-call basis with irregular hours between mid-November and the end of March each year.

Applicants must be available and committed to work with very short notice at all times of the day and night using a variety of tools and equipment listed below.

As a Brine Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating specialized trucks equipped to spray a liquid brine mixture on roads, parking lots, and walkways.

Brine application is an environmentally friendly alternative to rock salt, helping to reduce overall salt usage while maintaining safe winter conditions.

This position requires careful operation of equipment, use of a phone-based app to control application rates, and a commitment to safety and reliability.

Must be on-call/standby and available 24/7 Use brine truck during winter weather events, including nights, weekends, and holidays Apply brine mixture to designated areas in accordance with company procedures and client service agreements.

Use a mobile phone app to monitor and control spray amounts, ensuring proper and efficient application.

Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, lights, and application equipment.

This includes refilling the brine hopper.

Follow assigned routes and respond to dispatch instructions in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate logs of work performed, materials applied, and any incidents or issues encountered.

Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety hazards immediately.

Work collaboratively with supervisors, dispatchers, and other drivers to ensure all routes are completed safely and efficiently.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including safe driving practices during winter weather conditions.

Use of personal phone for timesheet log.

Perform other duties as may be assigned.
