Medical Director (MD/DO)

About the Position CCHS is seeking an experienced Medical Director (MD/DO) to provide clinical leadership and oversight while remaining actively engaged in patient care.

The Medical Director works collaboratively with the CEO, providers, and organizational leadership to support clinical quality, standards of care, provider performance, and the continued development of clinical programs and services.

This position also provides direct primary care and serves as a clinical resource to CCHS providers and clinical staff.

CCHS is open to candidates seeking either a full-time or part-time opportunity.

What You'll Do Provide clinical leadership and oversight across CCHS health centers.

Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to CCHS medical providers.

Collaborate with the CEO and organizational leadership on clinical programs, services, policies, and initiatives.

Support the development and maintenance of clinical policies, protocols, and standards of care.

Promote clinical quality and provider adherence to applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives.

Support provider orientation, development, and clinical performance.

Serve as a clinical resource and liaison to providers, clinical staff, healthcare organizations, and community partners.

Provide comprehensive primary and preventive care as part of the CCHS primary care team.

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic health conditions.

Order and interpret diagnostic and screening tests, prescribe and manage medications, and coordinate referrals and follow-up care.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

What We're Looking For Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.

Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.

Current board certification in Family Medicine or another primary care specialty appropriate to the position.

Current DEA registration.

Ability to meet all applicable CCHS credentialing and privileging requirements prior to providing patient care.
