Quality Control Technician
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all emergency vehicles upfitted at the facility meet the highest quality and safety standards.
This role involves performing detailed inspections, tests, and evaluations on vehicles and their components throughout the upfitting process.
The technician will collaborate with production teams to identify defects, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.

This individual must be able to perform physically demanding tasks that may require accessing confined spaces.
Work inside and outside vehicles in shop environment.
Occasional local travel for equipment pickups, deliveries and onsite installations.
Frequent lifting of heavy objects.
Some overtime or weekend hours may be required to fulfill time sensitive projects.
Strong working knowledge of 12V wiring.
Able to identify electrical circuits.
Strong understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Essential Duties include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Developing and maintaining company inspection reports.
Perform thorough inspections of vehicles at various stages of the upfitting process, ensuring all systems, equipment, and components meet quality and safety standards.
Ensuring the goods and products comply with company standards as well as federal or state law.
Ensuring test equipment is calibrated correctly.
Report quality anomalies to the supervisor.
Identifying possible areas for improvement in the quality control process.
Ensure production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.
Maintain an orderly and clean working environment, keeping the installers work area organized.
Complete all required paperwork (service orders, work logs, timecards, etc.).
Cooperates and assists other personnel in the prepping of vehicles.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and advancements in emergency vehicle equipment and technology.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with installation of emergency lighting.
Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Driver's License and must maintain company's driving guidelines.
