Rossmoor Post Acute is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dietary Aide to join our dietary department on a Full-Time basis.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, food service, dining room setup and cleanup, and maintaining sanitary food service areas.

The Dietary Aide works closely with dietary staff and nursing personnel to ensure residents receive meals and beverages according to their individual needs and dietary requirements.

Essential Responsibilities


* Assist with preparing and serving meals and snacks according to established menus and dietary guidelines.


* Set up dining areas, meal trays, and serving stations.


* Deliver meals and beverages to residents in a timely and courteous manner.


* Assist residents with basic meal service needs as appropriate.


* Follow residents' prescribed diets and food preferences as directed.


* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and utensils.


* Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to facility standards.


* Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.


* Check food temperatures and maintain appropriate food safety standards.


* Stock and organize food, supplies, and equipment.


* Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries as needed.


* Communicate resident concerns or dietary issues to the appropriate dietary or nursing staff.


* Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.


* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor or Director of Dietary Services.

Qualifications


* Previous dietary, food service, hospitality, or healthcare experience preferred but not required.


* Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.


* Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.


* Strong communication and customer service skills.


* Compassionate and respectful approach when interacting with residents.


* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with food service.
