Job Description:

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to plan and develop the test requirements, diagnostics, automation, equipment and schedules required to support prototype builds and deliver a production-grade test process.

In this role you will specify tests to be performed, provide test areas with parameters for sample testing, compile data, and define required changes to testing equipment, diagnostics, procedures, and manufacturing processes.

You will apply developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems, act as a project lead, exercise independent judgment, and provide guidance and assistance to lower-level professionals.

Key Responsibilities:


* Design engineering solutions to test and evaluate systems, equipment, and devices based on established engineering principles and in accordance with provided specifications and requirements.


* Develop and implement test plans, schedules, and requirements for all portions of new and existing designs.


* Design and provide leadership for outsourced and in-house testing resources building and operating test tooling, fixtures, scripts, automation, and apparatuses.


* Collaborate and communicate with management, internal teams, and outsourced testing and development partners regarding testing status, project progress, test results, and issue resolution.


* Lead a project team of test engineers and internal/outsourced testing partners to develop and execute reliable, cost-effective, high-quality test solutions for complex products and systems.


* Represent the test engineering team across all phases of larger and more complex development projects.


* Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

Requirements:


* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.


* Typically, 4+ years of experience defining, designing, and implementing manufacturing hardware test plans for highly complex networking products.
