Your Role: M&Q Financial Controller (m/f/d)

Location: Kiel

This position is part of the Kiel Manufacturing Site Lead Team.

As the functional expert for the site, the Finance Controller will be responsible for financial reporting and management.

Your role encompasses monthly income statement/balance sheet review, internal controls, and the annual business plan, while actively participating in broader site leadership discussions and initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:


* Oversee monthly closing, ensuring accuracy of expenses, variances, inventories, and CAPEX, and analyzing financial metrics against the business plan.


* Execute and maintain the full suite of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) controls for the site, including reviewing documentation and leading internal and external auditors through verifications.


* Supervise and develop a team of three financial analysts, coordinating activities and monitoring performance and providing regular feedback.


* Act as a Business Partner, developing an understanding of operations to bring financial and business perspectives for decision-making, risk identification, and evaluation of special projects.


* Lead business planning and forecasting activities, including expenses, production capacity, absorption, variances, capital investments, and calculating product standard costs.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):


* MBA or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.


* 5+ years of working experience with increasing responsibility in Controlling or Finance in a Manufacturing company.


* Fluency in English and German is mandatory; Excellent knowledge of relevant system landscape (SAP, SAP BW, etc.).
