Position Summary: The Senior Technical Accountant is a senior-level accounting professional focused on results driven accounting.

This role can perform all core loan-level and non-loan-level accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and life of a loan accounting including funding, purchase, and interim servicing while dedicating primary focus to technical GAAP adjustments.

The Senior Technical Accountant supports mortgage loan accounting and servicing by analyzing daily and month reconciliations.

This position also prepares journal entries related to trading Securities, interest income accruals, and monthly mark-to-market valuation adjustments.

Location: In Office (Irvine, CA) Responsibilities: Perform the full range of loan accounting duties, including recording fair value accounting entries related to Interest Rate Lock Commitments (IRLCs), Loans Held for Sale (LHFS), and Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSRs).Reconcile multiple systems to the general ledger; such as treasury, servicing, and loan origination system and resolve variances daily.Assist in design, testing and implementing automated accounting processes that support streaming accounting workflows, reduce manual effort and rework, improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and support a more efficient financial close.
