Sr. Casting Technician - Pediatric

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, 40 hours per week, day shift.

Weekly schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

This position will work onsite at American Family Children's Hospital at University Hospital at 1675 Highland Ave., Madison, WI.

It will also work at our Science Drive Medical Center at 621 Science Dr., Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Sr.

Casting Technician-Pediatric to:


* Join our Orthopedic surgeons who provide a full range of surgical services.


* Collaborate with all medical staff to determine the most appropriate cast or brace for a patient with particular diagnosis and treatment(s).


* Assist with development and follow policies and procedures relating to cast room staff duties.


* Provide quality care to pediatric patients in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment.


* Apply and remove casts, apply and adjust braces and splints, perform suture removal and minor wound care, and stocking supplies.

Qualifications



* No minimum education Required

Work Experience



* 2 years experience applying casts, splints and other orthopedic devices Required

Licenses & Certifications



* Current CPR/AED Certification Required


* Current certification as Casting Technician/Technologist Preferred
