What You'll Do

As a construction materials testing laboratory technician, you will support construction and engineering projects by performing geotechnical laboratory testing, documenting results, and assisting project teams in evaluating soil and material performance.

As a construction materials testing laboratory technician, you will support construction and engineering projects by performing geotechnical laboratory testing, documenting results, and assisting project teams in evaluating soil and material performance.

Responsibilities include:


* Perform a variety of geotechnical laboratory tests under direct supervision and established procedures


* Conduct testing such as Atterberg Limits, Sieve Analysis, Unconfined Compressive Strength, CBR, Swell, and other soil classification and engineering tests


* Operate laboratory equipment and maintain testing instruments in accordance with company procedures


* Concrete compressive strength testing


* Accurately document test data, observations, and results


* Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to support testing activities


* Perform calculations and prepare reports using standard laboratory methods and software tools


* Assist with project-specific observations and site assessment activities as needed


* Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and team members
