Laborer

Job Summary

The Laborer position is responsible for supporting client needs by performing manual labor in support of projects.

Essential Functions


* Perform manual labor including operating small hand tools and power tools.


* Perform heavy labor such as carrying and lifting materials and other activities.


* Promote safe work practices and adhere to company and client safety policies and procedures for work performed, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation of task.


* Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures and accept accountability for safe work practices.


* Routinely perform safety and productivity observations, shop, field, and vehicle inspections.


* Support the craftsman position assigned to.


* Other duties as assigned.

* Ability to work well with others in an environment that includes harsh weather conditions, diversified personalities.


* Ability to communicate effectively with fellow workers.


* Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language.


* Knowledge of and ability to follow Bristol client safety programs and regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.


* Ability to plan and organize workload.

Ability to follow directions and support to crew.


* Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and competing demands simultaneously.


* Ability to establish and maintain a rapport and strong working relationship with co-workers and client representatives.

* Ability to relate to and work with personnel at all levels of an organization required.


* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Laborer is never assigned alone.

Required Education and Experience


* High school diploma or GED.


* Valid driver's license

Preferred Education and Experience


* First AID/AED Certificate
