Job Summary

The production lead will lead a team completing plastic extrusion production of raw materials into finished goods.

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the equipment, maintaining product quality, and leading a team of operators and technicians.

Your primary goal will be to ensure the shift meets production targets while adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Job Responsibilities



* Oversee and coordinate the activities of the Bay to ensure smooth and efficient operation


* Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance as needed


* Ensure that equipment is properly set up, maintained, and operated according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)


* Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or maintenance with the maintenance team


* Assist supervisor with the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries


* Assist supervisor with staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities


* Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action


* Provide and facilitate effective communication and information flow with other departments


* Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures


* Regular engagement with Quality Control in the implementation and enforcement of quality control procedures to ensure that fittings meet the required specifications and standards


* Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify product quality and address any non-conformities


* Maintain housekeeping according to 5S standards
