Job Summary

As aMobile Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of mobile equipment which includes forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, front-end loaders, skid steers, and tractor trailers.

The successful candidate must be able to work safely indoors and occasionally outdoors.

Job Responsibilities


* Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that mobile equipment continues to run smoothly


* Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair of mobile equipment


* Maintenance of special purpose machines


* Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues


* Determine how to correct issues utilizing schematics, repair manuals, or parts catalogs


* Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned


* Inspect motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, utilizing PM checklists


* Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, hand tools and power tools


* Basic knowledge and troubleshooting related to electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic and mechanical systems


* Additional tasks may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements


* Physical requirements include lifting to 65 lbs., extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, working indoors and outdoors


* Able to perform job tasks in varying weather conditions


* Ability to work independently


* Ability to function occasionally in a team environment, with a proven track record of contributing toward team goals


* Ability to operate mobile equipment as necessary


* High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience


* OSHA-10 certification a plus but certification can be provided


* At least two years of mobile equipment maintenance experience working in a manufacturing environment
