Bus Monitor - Salem YMCA

The Salem YMCA is seeking a Bus Monitor to ensure the safe and positive transportation of children from Salem Public Schools to YMCA programs.

This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with kids and being part of a supportive team.

Schedule & Location:


* Position leaves from the Salem Public School bus depot.


* Monitor trips from schools to the YMCA bus stop and ride back to the depot.


* Program runs from 1:30 pm to 4 pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:


* Supervise children on the bus, ensuring safety and positive behavior.


* Assist with boarding and exiting.


* Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports.


* Keep the bus clean and support compliance with YMCA and EEC transportation policies.


* Communicate with staff, families, and school partners as needed.

Qualifications:


* Reliable, caring, and able to work with children.


* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.


* Prior childcare or youth program experience a plus.
