EPC Senior Superintendent, Utility Scale Solar (Groton, NY)

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.

Job Description Summary:
The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for the supervision of successful project completion.

This role is located full-time on a jobsite in Groton, NY and will require travel.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:


* Perform all Superintendent/Project Engineer duties as required.


* Recruit, screen, hire, mentor, coach, and develop field staff, fostering a high-performance culture, growth mindset, and supporting internal promotions.


* Serve as the primary on-site representative for assigned projects, maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication, issue resolution, and project success.


* Manage direct reports and subcontractors in all field areas, providing guidance, supervision, and support to ensure consistent execution and high-quality outcomes.


* Lead by example as a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for renewable energy.


* Enforce safety procedures and actively participate in the Safety Training Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.


* Set and maintain work quality standards; conduct inspections, audits, and constructability reviews to verify adherence to specifications, plans, and Solv Energy standards.


* Oversee multiple projects across a large geographic area, coordinating project support, logistics, materials, schedules, and subcontractor meetings to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.


* Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals; chair pre-job and regular subcontractor meetings to monitor punch lists and ensure project readiness and timely completion.


* Maintain and manage CPM schedules, coordinating with teams to meet project milestones and deadlines.


* Partner with estimating teams to develop accurate project cost estimates and proposals, providing insights from on-site observations to enhance cost competitiveness.


* Prepare and maintain operational reports, including time sheets, work orders, daily logs, invoice approvals, and punch list documentation, and provide regular progress updates to executive leadership highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.


* Perform manual work only under exigent conditions as required.


* Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
