Marker Maker

JOB DESCRIPTION: Prepares garment markers in a production environment, maintaining strong attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under moderate supervision, the Marker Maker prepares garment markers using CAD software.

Utilizes CAD to prepare markers for stock, mail, and special orders.

Rewinds and inspects markers to prevent errors.

Retrieves pieces from completed jobs for use in further manufacturing processes.

Prepares patterns from plastic materials, including cutting.

Performs similar, comparable, or related duties as required, including guiding and assisting others.

Maintains strong attention to detail in all tasks.

Presents and maintains professional behavior at all times.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Maintains a clean and safe work environment and reports any unsafe conditions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/ FUNCTIONAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES: A minimum of one year of experience performing cutting duties within the garment manufacturing industry is required.An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from a fashion or design school is preferred.Must have experience using CAD (computer-aided design) software and/or pattern cutting, preferably within the garment industry or through relevant education.Demonstrates excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.Possesses intermediate proficiency in using Microsoft Office software applications.Exhibits the ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, particularly within a team environment.Demonstrates excellent administrative and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.Displays persuasive and problem-solving abilities.Possesses the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 18 years or older.Must have a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience.Preferably High school diploma or GED.Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment preferred.

JOB FACTORS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work involves physical demands typically found in a manufacturing environment, such as but not limited to:prolonged standing, sitting, bending, walking for extended periods of time, lifting and/or moving material.
