Staff Landman

This position is based in Fort Worth, TX.

Candidates must reside in Fort Worth, TX.

or be willing to relocate.

Overall research of property records and various public information/websites.

Preparation, negotiation, and acquisition of leases and all land-related contracts, often with other companies and various types of interest owners.

Coordinate with landowners, interest owners, clients, and other third parties as necessary.

Handle payments and budgets associated with assigned land activities.

Works with a multi-disciplinary team to accomplish goals and objectives within budgetary guidelines.Expert-level Landman with experience in all facets of Landman proficienciesPerform high-level land functions without direct supervision.Handle advanced land operations and title curative matters, including reviewing title commitments, identifying and evaluating encroachments, title encumbrances, and other property-related issues, and coordinating with appropriate parties to support resolution or curative actions.Prepare all types of land-related contracts utilizing support as needed.

Expert interpreting, negotiating, and preparing Land related contracts, including document redlines as needed.Interact and provide the Regional Land Manager, Regional Land Director, and customers with a high level of Land support and information critical to customer development efforts.Order take-off, abstracts, and title opinionsWork with other members of the Land Department and support Regional Land Manager, and Regional Land Director to maintain all Land Records associated with projects.Extensive knowledge of all land-related activities, including but not limited to contracts, records, titles, leases, encroachments, surface agreements, road access agreements, and any other legally binding contracts associated with private lands and agencies such as TXRRC, TXGLO, DOT, BLM, NMSLO, University Lands, BIA, USACE, OCC, among other agencies as required.Work with customers legal departments, when necessary, in preparation of complex and non-standard type contractsConduct due diligence in connection with acquisitions and divestiture of customer properties.
