Facilities Trades Technician LOCATION: Ozarks Regional YMCA REPORTS TO: VP of Facilities and Property FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Ozarks Regional YMCA, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and welcoming operation of YMCA facilities by performing routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks.

This role completes minor to moderate repairs across building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility components, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Working under the direction of the Vice President of Facilities and Property, the Facilities Maintenance Technician responds to daily maintenance needs, assists with facility inspections, and supports emergency response during scheduled shifts.

This position works independently with minimal supervision, travels between association branches as needed, and plays a key role in ensuring YMCA facilities remain safe, operational, and member-ready, contributing to a positive experience for members, staff, and guests while modeling the YMCAs core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform minor to moderate maintenance and repair tasks related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility systems.

Implement and maintain approved preventative maintenance plans, including replacing filters, light bulbs, belts, and conducting routine system checks.

Follow daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists to ensure facilities meet appearance, safety, and operational standards.

Support facility inspections and assist in achieving satisfactory inspection results.

Troubleshoot mechanical and facility issues; resolve routine concerns and report larger or more complex issues to the Vice President of Facilities and Property.

Respond to facility emergencies during scheduled shifts, including equipment malfunctions, water leaks, and safety hazards.
