Commercial Construction Project Manager – Lead High-Impact Projects with Rockport Construction Group

The Opportunity

You will take full ownership of high-impact commercial, medical, industrial, and retail construction projects across the DFW Metroplex.

In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams, manage high-value client relationships, and deliver exceptional quality on time and within budget.

How You Will Make an Impact:


* Direct all phases of commercial construction projects from initial permitting through final closeout documents.


* Manage multiple small to large-scale projects simultaneously while maintaining rigorous quality control standards.


* Lead and mentor onsite superintendents and subcontractors to ensure strict adherence to project plans and specs.


* Oversee comprehensive project budgets, contract negotiations, monthly customer billings, and change orders.


* Review subcontractor bids for accuracy and schedule crucial long-lead items to keep timelines on track.


* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building long-term trust through transparent communication.

Required Qualifications & Experience:


* Minimum of 10 years of experience as a commercial construction project manager handling medical, interior finish-out, high-rise, warehouse, retail, or ground-up projects.


* Proven ability to manage project budgets, vendor contracts, submittals, and complex schedules.


* Deep knowledge of commercial construction standards, building codes, and safety requirements.


* Strong leadership qualities with exceptional conflict-resolution and strategic negotiation skills.


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, subcontractors, architects, inspectors, and internal project teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:


* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.


* Familiarity with Sage 100 Contractor accounting software.


* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
