Position Summary The Director of Nursing provides leadership and oversight for nursing and health services across Edgewood programs serving children, youth, and families.
This position is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive healthcare services while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements.
The Director of Nursing partners with clinical, program, and operational leaders to support integrated care for youth with complex behavioral health and medical needs and serves as the organization's subject matter expert on nursing practice, medication management, infection prevention, and health services.
Essential Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Nursing Operations Lead and oversee nursing services across Edgewood programs.
Recruit, supervise, develop, and retain nursing staff.
Ensure effective staffing, clinical support, and professional development.
Provide consultation regarding nursing practice, medication management, and healthcare coordination.
Health Services & Care Coordination Oversee medication management, health assessments, medical monitoring, and care coordination.
Ensure accurate and timely health documentation and implementation of physician orders.
Support admissions, transitions, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Improvement· Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, licensing, and accreditation requirements, including CCLD, DHCS, Title 22, STRTP, and Joint Commission standards.
Oversee infection prevention, employee health compliance, and health and safety initiatives.
Lead quality improvement efforts and monitor clinical performance indicators.
Support audits, surveys, accreditation reviews, and ongoing regulatory readiness.
Organizational Leadership· Collaborate with program, clinical, finance, operations, and People & Culture leaders.
