Mechanical Design Engineer II

Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative electro-mechanical solutions that meet high standards of quality and reliability.

You will apply your expertise in mechanical design principles and CAD tools to support the creation of advanced mechanical systems and components.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Boyne City, MI or Freeport, IL location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the successful delivery of mechanical designs that enhance product performance and reliability, supporting Honeywell's commitment to innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical specifications and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
• Perform mechanical analysis and testing to validate design performance and reliability.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and development
• 2+ years of strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies
• 2+ years of proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or PTC Creo, and experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools to ensure design integrity and performance
• 2+ years of experience with materials selection, manufacturing processes, and mechanical testing

WE VALUE
• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience with product lifecycle management and design for manufacturability
• Experience in Aerospace or related sectors
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience with electro-mechanical sensor design and GD&T

The annual base salary range for this position is $83,200.00 - $104,100.00.
