Hospice Business Development Executive
Job Summary:The Hospice Business Development Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to promote hospice services and generate patient referrals.
This role serves as a liaison between the hospice organization and the community, educating healthcare providers, patients, and families about hospice eligibility, benefits, and services.
The ideal candidate possesses strong relationship-building skills, healthcare sales experience, and a thorough understanding of hospice regulations and services.
A Day in the Life: Promote and increase awareness of Trinity Hospice throughout the local market to support patient admissions and census growth.Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, and other referral sources to generate patient referrals.Serve as a trusted resource by educating healthcare professionals, patients, and families on hospice services, eligibility criteria, and the benefits of end-of-life care.Ensure all marketing activities are conducted in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and ethical standards.Collaborate with clinical, admissions, and leadership teams to support strategic growth initiatives and facilitate seamless patient transitions to hospice care.Assist with the implementation and coordination of marketing programs by working closely with administrative and supervisory personnel.Represent Trinity Hospice at community events, networking opportunities, and professional meetings to strengthen community partnerships and expand referral networks.Monitor referral activity, identify growth opportunities within the territory, and contribute to the achievement of organizational census goals.Maintain positive, professional relationships with community referral partners while consistently delivering exceptional customer service and support.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.Minimum of one (1) year of hospice sales, marketing, or physician/community liaison experience required.Established network of referral sources and a proven track record of generating and growing hospice referrals.Strong knowledge of hospice services, Medicare guidelines, and the healthcare referral process.Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.Ability to work independently, manage a territory effectively, and achieve census growth goals.
