We are looking for a versatile, creative, and well-rounded mid senior level systems engineer to join our team to help develop next generation cancer treatment products.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a creative problem solver and own electromechanical components and systems through to product release.
You will use your experience in multi-discipline engineering within a mature and regulated development environment to deliver safe and effective components to the clinical market.
The ideal candidate will combine their broad technical knowledge with project ownership and responsibility at every phase of product development.
You will collaborate and work directly together with a multi-discipline cross-functional team, external and internal partners, and have a system-level view of how your work impacts users at every level from manufacturing to service, to clinical use, and ultimately our patients.
In this role, you will:
* Consult with architecture group in definition of design, and then lead cross-functional team and suppliers to implement design
* Master deep domain expertise across mechanical, electrical, materials, thermal, process and cost disciplines
* Analyze complex, ambiguous problems using rigorous, system-level methods
* Integrate multidisciplinary perspectives to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions
* Innovate by challenging assumptions and introducing new technologies, methods, and ideas
* Own system-level tradeoffs and risk analysis, providing a plan to navigate the unknowns
* Drive high level cross functional alignment to converge on decisions and system/subsystem requirements
* Guide engineers in the preparation of detailed design, prototype fabrication, design testing, and engineering docs.
* Support project/program managers in planning functional deliverables across disciplines and teams
What you will have:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar preferred) and 8+ years of related experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of related experience
* Experience with FMEAs, risk hazard analysis, design for safety, and a system-level approach to multi-disciplinary components
* Experience translating technical input into detailed mechanical requirements and verification test plans
* Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
