Francis Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented On-Call Housekeeper to join our team.

The Housekeeper plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Pay Rate: $17.00-$17.50 per hour
Position: On-Call

Position Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, including resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


* Clean and maintain public and common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.


* Clean and sanitize resident rooms and bathrooms according to facility standards.


* Wipe down handrails and other high-touch surfaces to keep them clean and free of dust and debris.


* Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, dispensers, and other surfaces.


* Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.


* Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility.


* Follow all safety and infection-control procedures, including proper use of caution signage.


* Safely handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals and supplies according to manufacturer instructions and facility policies.


* Operate housekeeping equipment safely and properly.


* Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.


* Report resident safety concerns or environmental hazards promptly to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.


* Notify the Director of Housekeeping when cleaning supplies or equipment need replenishment.


* Provide courteous and professional customer service to residents, families, visitors, and staff.


* Manage time effectively and complete assigned tasks efficiently.


* Work independently and as part of a team to maintain facility cleanliness and safety standards.


* Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


* Previous housekeeping experience, particularly in a healthcare or long-term care setting, is a plus.


* Ability to follow instructions, facility policies, and safety guidelines.


* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.


* Good communication and interpersonal skills.


* Dependable, responsible, and able to work effectively in a team environment.


* Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service to residents.
