Koch Fertilizer is looking for a Full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Beatrice, Nebraska.
The opportunity will be begin late May to mid-June 2027.

What You Will Do
* Take on projects that are representative of the work our full-time engineers do, gaining hands-on experience supporting plant reliability, maintenance, and operational excellence.
* Analyze equipment and operational data to identify improvement opportunities, support decision-making, and drive process optimization initiatives.
* Support predictive and preventive maintenance efforts to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
* Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities to help resolve equipment and operational challenges.
* Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), piping isometrics, plot plans, and equipment specifications.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to climb straight ladders.
Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet.
* Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required.
* Confined space entry may be required.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technologies, or related field.
* Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2027
* Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
* Willing and able to meet all physical requirements
What Will Put You Ahead
* Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment, engines, rotating equipment, or maintenance systems
* Demonstrated involvement in engineering design teams, student organizations, or hands-on mechanical projects
